So i went here because there was a toy fair being held there. But what a lovely place. I love steam engines and this was an added bonus, steam powered fair ground rides, traction engines of all shapes and sizes. Miniature train rides and a small history of how steam powered great Britain 🇬🇧 well worth a visit.

Came on an evening ticket from 5or6 till 9. We got a wrist band for unlimited rides. Had a really good evening here going on all the old fashion fair ground rides run on steam engines. Had a few extras that were extra to pay for but all good. Would recommend for a visit me and the family Had a great evening

My family had a lovely day out here on Tuesday 19th August, nice and quiet (probably due to the roadworks, unfortunately the access to the fair was appalling and the roadworks caused us a 90 minute delay getting in). Google maps hasn’t updated that there were roadworks (tree surgeons working overhead), so we found it really difficult to find the correct way in as almost every single road near it was closed. Once we were in, we really enjoyed ourselves, the train and tractor rides were great fun and my 2 year old loved it, the park was great too! Unfortunately, we couldn’t actually take my 2 year old on any of the little tiny rides which would have been perfect for her (except the carousel), as they were very strict on their health and safety and rules. So don’t recommend coming here unless your children are 3 and up. Probably not suitable for older kids either. Nice little picnic area but could do with a few more benches there. The man who was working on the ghost house all day was the sweetest and friendliest bloke, he was so lovely to us and made our visit so special! Also, the guy working on the carousel was so accommodating and friendly! Thanks for having us!

We had a good time exploring. There were not as many rides as we expected, but still worth the visit. Sad to see a lot of decaying items not in use - so I hope the place gets supported well to help restore more exhibits long term. Everyone was very friendly apart from the gentleman at the ghost house who seemed a little rude at times and rather off putting. Where as the guys on the train and trailer rides were brilliant. Well worth the visit.

Visited here for a “Steam Traction Driver Experience” from Virgin Experiences that my partner got me for a gift. I will begin with the staff - of which are some of the friendliest, nicest & most knowledgable guys in their area. I did my experience with Owen as my guide. Spent the entire day talking & got on really well. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer guide. Really knows his stuff & nothing was too much. A special mention for Harry as well for letting me go on his little steam train. Met Lucy (manager) and Rob also. Very kind people. The grounds are fantastic. Huge area filled with old carnival attractions & more importantly a vast amount of different steam traction units. Lovely tea room, shop, rail station & outdoor areas. The steam tractions were fantastic. We rode on Jasper, which is a beautiful green steam engine made in 1922. I got stuck in with loading up coal, firing the engine up, driving, cleaning, and putting to sleep. Will definitely revisit even without the experience day.

Had a fantastic time here today, the staff were all very helpful. We had great fun on all the rides and the train ride with the army reenactment was great too💣also veteran card holders get in for £1 with unlimited access to all the rides.

This is a fantastic place for children aged 2 to 10. There were no rowdy teenagers, no nasty pushing, no bad language, just a place to have fun. Entrance fee was £12 per adult which lets you go on 3 rides. Our granddaughter, aged 3, was £15 and she could go on 10 rides. We brought a picnic as there was limited food available. All the staff, volunteers, were friendly and welcoming.
